新龙年快乐！

Currently at my dad's hometown, watching Chinese celebration show.

I can't remember what happened last year but assuming it's probably the same thing.

Chinese new year use to be fun when I was a kid. Everyone plays with you, chasing my cousins up and down, masak - masak, doctor, gambling but now .... All that spirit and essence just fade off to just casual give out Angpows, having cookies and watching tv together.

I know what more important is to spend quality time with your family. The thing is not everyone come back to hometown and those who does, aren't my age group. So what do I do every year ? Replying text messages and watch tv. Same goes to my siblings. Why are we such an awkwardly social bunch?

Genes by my dad. He just sat by the coach with his blackberry whole day. He doesn't social with his family.Wtf?

Reading a person's personal life like a book. Blog.

People posts things about themselves, at most offering their most sincere feeling and words towards the public. Some may appreciate this tiny bits of offering as they felt it. Some may be judgmental about it. It differs.

After all I wrote these past few years,

Im still afraid of being judged despite every time I clicked on "publish post", Im exposing myself to everyone.

Deep down, you knew you found another place at some other crib, a place you never expect to find a warm and welcoming feeling.

I never been so excited for Christmas ever, nor am I a christian.

Its not like I had anything on for Christmas.

Went out with my parents, didnt buy anything, just looking at bears at Pavilions. That's all.

Just by wearing a reindeer headband, Im jolly happy :D

This time I'll be bulletproof ... - La Roux

Things has been tough this year.
It was sweet early this year, then a sudden downfall.
The downfall made me realize a lot of thing.

No matter how hard I tried to protect myself,
once you open up to someone, your giving your soul.
And I made my choice.

You wouldnt know whose there for you when you fall.
So I guess I have to thank you for some things.
It was really awkward at the beginning to tell my stories every time people ask.
But that was the time, I started to grow closer to other people.

No doubt, I blamed myself for certain things.
Then, as time flies.
It was a lesson.

After the downfall, I done a lot of things I never expected I would do.
The little bravery from the old "me" started to patch myself up.

Then, there was the downfall for my grades.
For the first sem, I was disturbed.
On the second sem, I really tried my very best and I expected more.
Things just didnt go that well.
I'll just have to work harder next year.

Now that my heart is calm, I see things more clearly now.

Do you ever had a feeling that something good is gonna happen?
And all you had to do, is lay back and wait for it to happen?
I used to feel that way when i was kid, I was always cheerful :)
They say if you smile more, and have dimples, you ll be pretty.
Being that innocent kid, I start smiling and laughing so often, it became a habit.

By the time I reach highschool, that habit became hard to wash off.
And some jerks/people think Im being an idiot, because I keep smiling.
It really kind of affected me, then I started being emo.
Highschool wasnt exactly pleasing to me.

As I grow, I realised those idiot's word shouldnt meant anything to me.
People tend to say mean things to you for whatever reason they may hold, but it's up to you to judge and believe. I should be what i want.

Result was out today, and I had a good feeling that something is gonna happen, I was assuming my result. Guess I was wrong :( My gpa was worst among all the sem.
It got me thinking what I done wasn't it enough? all this hardwork doesnt seem to pay off. It's like finishing early, and finishing late doesnt make a difference anymore.

Oh well, Final year's target : 3.33 !!!

BUT I did won a voucher from a blogshop :D

I made a promise the last post that I ll make my birthday a happy one. And I did :D

This all wouldn't be possible without the help of my greatest friends since highschool. Despite the distance, despite we don't talk everyday like we use to, despite were all older and wiser than we are, our friendship doesn't seem to be as far away as our distance.

Thanks you, everyone for that lovely suprise and companionship.

I mention before, I don't trust my capability, I'm always doubting myself. I seem to be harsh on myself just to achieve my "best". No matter how hard I tried to reach the star on top, there is always someone else ahead of me.

Well lately, all these hardwork seemed to paid off.

I should start believing what I do is right.

First day of intern started on my birthday, it ended early.

My groupmate celebrated with a cake, to be honest, it rather awkward but it's a very nice thing to do :) thanks guys.

Our task basically in this 6 long week was to measure 2 buildings.

Today's is only the third day (which I skipped, I had plans), to realise whatever I did wasnt satisfying, everything I measure was wrong or have missin dimension. Make me feels like a .... ( see, I'm being hard to myself again)

after sems is over, comes a week of holiday and Im back with short sem again.

I hate classes in December, everyone's having holiday and shopping for year end sale

Yet im stuck in office/uni.

I took photography this sems.

At first I was so excited, then I began to take it not so seriously.

skipping classes, late for classes

And now, Im oh so stuck for my final submission which is 100%.

My photo wasnt great.

In fact, he say I should go with a different approach.

Just watched 500 days of summer.

Well, let's just say a lot of things was running through my head after the movie ends.

Everyone that walks into your life, teaches you a lesson.

Some may stays, some may leave

but each of them leaves a mark in your life.

and from lessons, you start building up walls around yourself, so you could withstand the pain some may cause.

I guess that why I'm so closed up every time.

Despite how innocent one's intention may be,

I can never be too sure.

Things like this happened.

I cant prevent these things from happening but I can prepare myself for it.

Have you ever felt you just have to be somewhere else instead of where you are right now?

Whenever they ask where do I want to go for holiday?

My answer will always be the beach.

It always on my mind despite the fact I cant swim.

Maybe the fact, I have good moments there.

Recently, a friend ask what do you wanna do for new year eve?

and again I answered, the beach.

Fireworks by the beach would be a really great way to end and start my year.

Will it be possible?

Lately, I have issues with trusting myself.

Im always doubting myself.

Im always thinking Im not good enough for anything.

I guess I have to learn to trust my capability, not too much, not too little.

I kept following what my brain has to say and not follow my heart.

When I do follow my heart, it took a moment of regret followed with a moment of relief.

Despite how stupid, desperate it's gonna make me look, I have to try.

I may regret from the result, at least I knew I tried my best.

Time wouldnt reverse for you to react to those decision, again.

You started it, you ended it.

And as a friend, I want to fix it.

But every time I try to, you always come around to show me not to.

Im ready to move on, but it just seem your not.

For the past holiday, I been getting away for awhile.

Away from the crowd, away from the usual.

Just the simple bonding session with highschool friends whom I neglected very much thanks to the busy schedule of Architecture.

Some already left to Australia, some are going to in a month time.

The population friend is decreasing if the rates goes on.

Oh well, soon to be mine :) shall work hard on this semester.

I mentioned, I been getting away. And this was truly the furthest I went, with no restriction. Have to thank my dad for giving me the opportunity by lying to both me and my mum, or this plan wouldnt be success :) IMSERIOUS.HEDID.

July 16th, Swan's birthday.

We always end up going somewhere on her birthday and this year was Malacca.

Very last minute but a success !!

When we arrived at the bus central around noon, it started to drizzle.

When we took a cab to Jonker, it was raining cats and dog.

i. We were practically drench wet.

ii. Sort of lost because I have no idea where was the hotel

iii. Carrying too many stuff for a 2 days trip

iv. Walking under the rain with most of our body wet.

Till finally, we saw this green sign stating the hotel name.

Our first meal at Nadeja.

Banana Chocolate crepes - a little bit too creamy for me.

Cheese crepes. She enjoyed it.

After that, we went on to look for more food. Unfortunately with the rain going on, we couldnt get anywhere far. so we end up in the mall, feeling depressed.

Then, a motivation strike to look for satay celup which arent that far away. with many twist and turn of walking, we found it !!! tobeclosed.FML

We gave up and went back to our beloved hotel and freshen up.

Lucky for us, there was a Hainan Food Street and Unesco Music Festival.

His voice was deeeeeeeeeeeeeep. like elvis.

Being a Friday night, there was Jonker walk which I come to realised it seemed to be like a Pasar Malam for the locals.

That night, I have no idea what hit us, we just started spending without boundaries.

Have drinks at Geographer Cafe.

Along the way back the hotel, there is a row of bars. The screen was screening the live performance of UNESCO music festival, which seemed like a football match at first.

Last Meal of day 1 : Satay Celup.

Didnt get try those real good one because they were too far to walk/ closed. Pfft.

We woke up pretty early the next day, to have our breakfast at the hotel.

Then we head on a morning walk on the empty Jonker street and had durian cendol.

The eggtart next door was renovating, no egg tart for me :(

This is a really cute shop that teaches how to make soap.

Shall learn it the next time I go :D

The becas are like a moving club vehicle. they blast beyonce and lady gaga's song.

The birthday girl really wanted to ride on the Taming Sari. it was too expensive so we head on to have our last meal at Nadeja, again.

Today, we have Karling and Siewyee whom just arrived that afternoon because they couldnt stay over. The world was small tho, I met my classmates at the same place too.

I had been a different me.

well, it's true.

In this one whole month of holiday,

I never felt better. It was a great holiday !!!

I seen aspect of people that I haven seen.

Even though I thought I knew them so well,

they got me all wrong.

Despite all these difference, all the disagreement, all the odds

Love brought us all closer.

Love brought honesty, trust, interest and maturity to all of us.

I learn something from everyone each day :)

Strange how a person can change for another person.

Even if someone is more experienced, doesnt mean everything you know is what they knew.

It doesnt hurt to learn from others.

holiday is ending soon in a week. Pity.

then was the eagerness of your lecturer to know your final decision of a chosen building

and my constant procrastination and unwell thought decision

no more gambling, munching new year cookies and receiving ang pows.

Today is the last day, Chap Goh Mei and the Chinese Valentines day.

Lots of oranges will be floating on the sea.

As I mention before at the previous post,

I got a new dslr. which often brings me a little regret.

I hate rushing when your buying something.

Oh well, so far so good. No big problems.

Probably need a lot more time to get adjust to this settings.

Brought Bruno for tryout the next day at Petaling Street.

Mum and Dad was shopping for CNY stuff, so I tagged along.

Had roti bakar for breakfast.

It was raining that early morning, since like 8am.

poor bruno meets the rain the first day.

We stopped by many florist, couldnt get any plants or flowers.

as usual, when Chinese New Year is near, so is Valentine.

It's almost a month since the year 2011 strikes us.

2010 seems to be a horrible year for most of us, as for me, fortunately it's one of the good one.

As for 2011,

it's has been quite tough on me this few weeks.

I gained and lost.

I like to think,

what I lost have compensate for other's happiness.

And what I gained is from I get in return.

Chinese New Year is coming next week.

Unfortunately, for this year.

I wont be posting any pictures.

Because my almost 2 years old baby Fuzzle has been stolen.

Devastating, indeed.

It has been quite tough on me,

not having any form camera in hands to capture moments

gosh, I hate those mens so much.

and I dont think I would be getting one any soon.

The ending of one semester is approaching.

Every fine detail requires my attention and dedication.

Every approach requires a reason.

No matter what you do, you will never satisfy everyone.

A visit to Memory Lane, Seremban.

we moved there once for 8 months for Dad's job.

I was standard one and I pretty much dont remember any other thing.

I do remember I said I'll pay a visit to my old friends.

Raya break, 3 states in 7 days.

And I could have been to Singapore, tough luck.

Got to Malacca around noon for lunch.

yum yum, with the que of at least half an hour.

While waiting, they went on Jonker street to find more food.

I swore they walk so fast, I couldn't catch up after Im done taking a decent picture.

First week of second semester,

a field trip to Taiping, Perak.

To visit Taiping zoo for our studio assignment.

Before that, we stopped by Gua Tempurung.

When we arrived at the hotel,

Right in front of us was 2 really pimped kelisa and kancil.

Checked in and raided the top floor.

The oh-so-famous Taiping lake.

The Sky Bar above the hotel,

with gays.

Opposite the hotel, there's a very nice field,

so huge and greeeennnn...

i know im jakun but the field doesnt get to that size in PJ

After dinner, we walked to the zoo for night safari.

My camera couldnt capture any nice and clear pictures ...

and flash was prohibited.

The next morning, 8am.

I heard next door slamming the door.

Thinking the boys wouldnt woke up so early.

And they did, for free flow of food.

In the end of the day, a few monkey escaped. Funny thing is I actually witness his attempt, thought he just had a bad fall. Later that day it rained pretty badly in the afternoon, lucky for us - manage to get back to hotel before it rained. Almost everyone was soaked wet when they got back.

2 days before everything ends for my first semester,

I managed finish and printed out everything just so I could to attend Urbanscape'10 - which wasn't that great compared to 09's.

I was prepared to be inspired, sadly I left the place quite disappointed yet i brought a dress tho :) polka dots again !

Went off quite late because of the constant journey of up and down just get everything I needed for monday right, I did - mostly.

REDANG redang redang is definitely the place I would stop by again during semester break, sadly they have monsoon season. Maybe Perhentian? Langkawi isn't that bad either.

After all the hardwork at studios, folding 20000+ of origamis. We had our class trip to Redang, for assignment, not entirely on fun but we still did :D

Moved out from campus at 10pm.

Reach Terengganu at 5.30am.

It's a freaking sickening tiring journey inside the bus, I cant bloody sleep.

The bus travels deep inside those ulu-ulu area, everything I see was in black and white.

Call me emo or whatever, I actually love the black and white scenery !!!

why didn't snapping pictures of it ever cross my mind?

Had our early breakfast and by far cheapest breakfast, comparing to KL.

0.60 for 2 pieces of bread?

Then, the jetty. Waited for an hour, for the last boat.

It takes time to transport 150 students to Redang.
